Armament System Kelly just wiped up years of tattoos with a single stroke, obtaining black ink all over his arms and upper body.
Artist “Emo Girl” (real name Colson Baker) unveiled the frightening new style on Tuesday, February 20, on his Instagram profile. From his neckline to the middle of his torso, the black ink flowed down his arms. The tattoos that had been hidden behind the horizontal design were visible in a crucifix pattern, with the black ink extending all the way down to his waistline forming the vertical component of the cross.
After thanking his tattoo artist Roxx, 33-year-old MGK stated, “For spiritual purposes only” in the caption. In an Instagram post captioned “Made some art with @machinegunkelly,” Roxx featured the singer’s freshly tattooed body. Whoa, I’ve never encountered somebody more difficult.
Many of MGK’s admirers were very critical of his new style, and opinions were strongly divided among them. Two people commented on the same thing: “Stupidest f-king thing I’ve ever seen” and “When you leave your kid unattended with the black marker…”
Machine Gun Kelly’s colourful arm sleeves, chest, and torso are just a few of the tattoos that have others wondering why he would cover them all up.
In addition to his many tattoos, MGG is famous for his Cleveland tattoos. One admirer remarked, “Wow, it’s wild and weird that you go all black and cover it up.” Another said the same thing. “All that hard work went down the drain.” “I have an emotional connection to those tats, not going to lie,” one woman said.
The man from Houston, Texas, is no stranger to getting new tattoos or concealing old ones. He has a history of getting new tattoos done by simply covering up older ones that he has grown tired of.
By 2023, MGK had accumulated over 90 unique tattoos, having started getting inked at the tender age of 14.

“I believe tattoos are a lifestyle not a fashion trend,” he told imfromcleveland.com in an interview from 2010.
MGK then proceeded to show off the ink that he treasured the most. “At the moment, my favourite tattoo is ‘Almost Famous,’ which is located on my lower stomach. It serves as a constant reminder of how awful it was to be almost famous, and it humbles me every morning as I look at my growing career.”
“Heroes get remembered, but Legends never die.’ That’s a quote from The Sandlot that I’ve been carrying around with me, and it’s one of the worst ones I own.” Colson went on to say, “I’m trying to be a legend in my city man!” referring to his hometown of Cleveland.
“I have symmetrical tattoos on my wrist. The one on my left side reads ‘Live Free.’ The one on my right side has chain links. It basically represents the choice between living a life constrained by ‘the man’ or living for oneself and savouring each moment,” he explained. Those are now completely concealed.

The “Emo Girl” artist – real name Colson Baker – debuted the shocking new look via his Instagram page on Tuesday, February 20. It showed how the black ink went from his neckline down his arms while ending at his mid torso. MGK’s fans were highly divided over his new look, with many quite critical of his decision. “Stupidest f–king thing I’ve ever seen,” one person wrote, while another commented, “When you leave your kid unattended with the black marker…”
Others questioned why Machine Gun Kelly would cover up so many of his noted tattoos, including all of the work done on his colorful arm sleeves, chest and torso.
“MGK is known for his various tattoos and even his Cleveland tattoos. To get that all covered up and go straight black is wild and weird to me,” one fan noted, while another agreed, writing, “Wow. All dat previous work down da drain.” One woman added, “I had an emotional attachment to those tats, not gonna lie.”

The Houston, Texas, native is no stranger to covering previous tattoos with new art. Over the years as he’s decided to get new work done, he’s simply had it inked atop previous tattoos he had grown tired off.
MGK began getting inked at the age of 14 and had amassed more than 90 different tattoos by 2023.
In a 2010 interview with imfromcleveland.com, he told the site,” I believe tattoos are a lifestyle not a fashion trend.”
MGK went on to reveal his most cherished ink at the time. “My favorite tattoo right now is the one on my lower stomach that reads ‘Almost Famous’ because as my career grows, I’m still humbled every morning when I look at that tattoo, and I’ll always remember how much it sucked to ALMOST be famous haha.”
