Although Austin Richard Post, better known as Post Malone, had radio hits in 2023, he was more famous for his dramatic weight loss.
In April 2023, the “Better Now” singer went on Instagram to clarify that his dramatic life change was the result of adopting healthier habits following the birth of his first daughter in May 2022 and not because he had been abusing drugs. This came as a shock to his followers.
Many have asked me how I’ve managed to lose weight and, I assume, improve my stage presence, but I want it made clear that I’m not under the influence of any medicines. I’ve never felt healthier, and I’m having a blast performing,” the rapper wrote in a long statement. “I suppose it was dad life that made me realise I needed to cut back on soda and improve my diet if I wanted to be here for this little angel for a long time.”

Post performed at the Budweiser Made in America Festival in skinny pants and a tattoo-free face before he became famous. After a year, he was chosen to be Justin Bieber’s opening act on his Purpose tour.

As part of his weight loss efforts, Post informed his Instagram followers in April 2023 that he had stopped drinking soda and that “next up is smokes and brews, but I like to consider myself a patient man… lol.”
FEBRUARY 2024
At the pregame and halftime press conferences for Super Bowl LVIII, Apple Music showcased Post’s lean figure in a pair of slim-fitting trousers. He will be singing “America the Beautiful” before the most important football game of the year.
